A builder can send you a link to one of their projects, by email, WhatsApp or text, or share one link with all their trades. Joining takes you straight to the project: its drawings and photos, and the ones you add yourself. You only see the projects you're put on, not the rest of the builder's team.
Join with the link
Open the link. The page says which project it is and which builder asked you.
Fill in Your name, Email address and Your trade. Phone number is optional: it's how the builder reaches you on site.
Tick I agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Click Join the project.
If you're new to Buildscout, choose a Password, type it again under Confirm password, and click Create your login and join.
You go straight to the project. From now on you sign in with your email and that password. To fix a typo before you set the password, click Change your details.
Join with an account you already have
On the join page, click Sign in under Already have a Buildscout account?.
Sign in. You come back to the join page.
Click Join the project.
If you type an email that already has an account into the form, you're added to the project and asked to sign in to see it. We email you the link as well.
Why does it say "This link doesn't work any more"?
The builder has switched the link off, or it was never a working link. Ask the builder who sent it for an up-to-date link, or to add you to the project themselves.
Why does it say "This invite has already been used"?
It was a personal invite, and it's been accepted. If it was yours, click Sign in and you go straight to the project. If you're signed in as someone else, it says "This invite is someone else's": ask the builder to add you to the project themselves.
Why does it say "You're already on this project"?
You're a member of the builder's team, so the project is already in your workspace. Click Open the project. This is the link the builder's subcontractors use.
Why does it say to check my email?
We couldn't take the email address at its word yet, so we've emailed your own invite link to it. Open that email to set up your login and go straight to the job.
