Your client only sees the photos and documents you choose. Nothing from the job's files goes on the portal until you put it there, and you can take anything off again at any time.
See what's on the portal
Open the project and click Client portal in the project's menu.
Click the Files tab.
On the portal lists everything your client can see, and nothing else. Photos and documents you picked for an update are on it too.
Put photos or documents on the portal
On the Files tab, click Add photos or Add documents.
Tick the ones you want your client to see.
Click the button at the bottom, such as Add 3 photos.
Your client sees them next time they look. Your client never sees where a photo was taken, but check your photos don't show neighbours' homes or people who haven't agreed to be in them.
Take a file off the portal
On the Files tab, click Take off on the photo or document. Your client can't see it any more.
Share from the project's Documents or Photos
You don't have to go to the portal to share a file:
Documents: the Client portal column shows Visible or Hidden for each document. Click it to change it.
Photos: click Select, tick the photos, then click Show on client portal.
Any photo or document: click ā¦ on it and choose Show on client portal or Take off client portal.
A file on the portal shows Client can see. When you add a new version of a document that's on the portal, the new version is the one your client sees.
Files your client sends you
Your client can send you photos and documents from the portal, with a note on each. You get a notification when they do, and the Files tab shows how many are new.
They're listed under From your client, newest first, with who sent them and their notes. They're saved in the project's files under Client upload. Only your team can see them, and they aren't on the portal unless you put them there.
If a client sent files using the shared link rather than their own, they show as Your client (by the shared link).
Why can't I add files to the portal?
On a complete project, nothing new can go on the portal, so Add photos and Add documents aren't there. You can still take files off. Reopen the project to share more.
