The project assistant plans a job's tasks from what you tell it, the way you'd tell someone on site. It makes the tasks, works out the dates and gives each one to the right person. You can also ask it questions about the job, such as what's overdue.
Ask the assistant
Open the project. It opens on its Overview.
Click Ask AI at the top right.
Type what needs doing, for example "Create a task for Dan to fix the scaffold by Friday, urgent", or click one of the suggestions.
Press Enter, or click the send arrow.
The assistant replies, and each change it made is listed under its reply.
Undo a change
Each change has an Undo button. Click it if the assistant got something wrong. If someone has changed that task since, Buildscout asks Undo anyway?, because undoing also loses those later changes. Click Undo anyway, or Keep it.
Confirm a removal
The assistant won't delete anything on its own. Anything it would remove is listed with Needs confirming. Click Confirm to go ahead, or Reject to keep it.
Carry on later
Each time you open the assistant it starts a new thread. Click Earlier threads to read and carry on an earlier conversation, or New thread to start afresh.
Why isn't there an Ask AI button?
Ask AI is only on the overview of an open project. A complete project can't be changed, so the assistant isn't offered until you reopen it.
Why does it say the AI assistant isn't on my plan?
The assistant comes with every Buildscout plan. You'll see The AI assistant isn't on your plan. if your plan has ended. An account that's only overdue on a payment keeps it.
What can it do?
On the job you opened it from, it can create, change, move, finish and delete tasks, give them to people, link photos and documents to them, and add or tick off checklist items. You can also ask it about the job, such as "What's overdue on this job?". Deleting always waits for you to confirm.
