How to start from the standard layout

Write a letter yourself from our example layout, and keep your letter library tidy with search, copies, previews and deleting.

Rather write your letter yourself? Start from our standard layout: an example letter with the address box and merge tags already in place, ready for your own words.

Start from the standard layout

  1. Click Letter campaigns in the sidebar, then Letter templates.

  2. Click New template.

  3. Choose A4 letter (or A5 postcard).

  4. Under the form, click Or start from our standard layout.

  5. Change the words to your own. Double-click any text to type over it.

  6. Click the name at the top and give the letter a name.

  7. Click Save letter.

To add details like the homeowner's name, see "How to edit a letter by hand".

Find a letter

As your library grows, type in Search letter templates… at the top of Letter templates to find a letter by its name.

Copy, preview or delete a letter

Click the three dots (Letter options) at the bottom right of a letter's card:

  • Edit opens it in the editor.

  • Preview shows it full size, as it'll be printed. Click Edit template there to change it.

  • Duplicate makes a copy, for example to make a version for another kind of job.

  • Delete takes out a letter you don't need any more. Confirm with Delete letter. This can't be undone.

Why can't I find a deleted letter?

Deleting a letter means it isn't offered for letters any more, and it can't be undone. If you need it again, make it again or duplicate a similar letter before you delete.

Why can't I duplicate a letter?

A letter the AI is still designing, or one it couldn't design, has nothing to copy yet. Wait until it's ready, or try designing it again.
