Timesheets show how long each person has been on a job's site. Your team and your subcontractors clock in with the Buildscout app when they get to site, and their hours land here.
Open a project's timesheets
Click Projects in the sidebar and open the project.
Click Timesheets in the project's menu.
The page opens on Week: this week, day by day, latest day first. Each stretch on site is a bar across the day, with when they arrived, when they left and their hours, and each day's total. Any tasks someone finished while on site show under their time.
Use the arrows to step back a week, and This week to come back. You can't step past the current week.
Who's on site now
Anyone clocked in and not yet out shows under On site now, with when they arrived, how long they've been there and the app's last check on where they are, such as Last ping 5 min ago Ā· on site. It turns amber when they were off site at the last check, or the app has gone quiet.
Clock someone out
Under On site now, find the person.
Click Clock out.
Their time ends at the last time the app found them on site, not the moment you click.
Add time by hand
If someone didn't use the app, add their time yourself.
Click Add time at the top of the page.
Under Who, choose the person.
Pick the Day.
Type the Clocked in and Clocked out times. A clock-out earlier than the clock-in counts as the next morning, for a night shift.
Add a Note if it helps.
Click Add time.
Time added this way is marked By hand.
Correct or delete time
Click the ⦠menu beside the time.
Choose Edit to change when they arrived or left, then click Save. For someone still clocked in, tick Still on site to leave their time running.
Or choose Delete, then Delete again. This can't be undone.
See everyone's hours added up
Click Summary. It shows how many people have been on site and their hours in all, then one row per person, most time first, with their trade, number of visits and when they were last on site. Click a person to see every visit, week by week.
Why was someone clocked out automatically?
The app checks where someone is every few minutes while they're clocked in. If it hasn't found them on site for an hour, because they left without clocking out or their phone died, they're clocked out at the last time it did. They're told You've been clocked out of ā¦.
Why can't someone clock in?
They have to be on site: within 250 metres of the project's address.
The project needs an address. Without one, the app says This project needs its address before anyone can clock in.
Time recorded with no signal is sent once the phone has one. If it's more than a day old, it doesn't count. Add the time by hand instead.
Time the app recorded with no signal and sent later is marked Recorded offline.
Why won't my time save?
Times can't be in the future.
They already have time on this project that overlaps this. Correct their other time first.
Clocked out can't be the same time as clocked in.
They need to be on the project. Add a subcontractor on the project's Subcontractors page first.
Nobody can be clocked in from this page. Only the app clocks people in, so time you add always needs a clock-out.
Why can't I add or change time on this project?
On a project marked complete, its time stands as it was kept: there's no Add time, and entries can't be edited or deleted. Someone still on site can be clocked out.
What do subcontractors see?
A subcontractor sees only their own time on the project, under Your time, and can't change it.
