A portal's Settings tab is where you set how your portals look and who your client can get in touch with. Your logo and colour are shared by every project's portal.
Open the settings
Open the project and click Client portal in the project's menu.
Click the Settings tab.
Change your logo and colour
Your logo and colour are used on all your projects' portals, PDF reports and client emails.
Click Edit, or Add your logo if you haven't added one yet.
Under Logo, drop your logo in, or click Choose a file (Change logo if you have one). Use a PNG, JPEG or SVG under 2 MB.
Under Colour, pick a colour, such as the one on your van and signs.
Each change saves as you make it, and shows everywhere at once. You can also change these in Settings → Branding.
Use your own web address
The Your own web address card lets you put your portal links on your own domain, like yourbusiness.co.uk. Click Set it up, or Manage if you've started already. Once your domain is live, the card says Your portal links use your domain, and the links you share and your clients' emails use it.
Choose who your client can contact
Under Contact, pick a person on your team in Who your client can contact, or No one. The portal shows their name, and the phone number and email on their profile, with buttons to call, message on WhatsApp or email them. If someone has no phone number on their profile, the portal only offers email.
Switch the portal off
Click Switch the portal off.
Click Switch it off to confirm.
Nobody can open the portal, by any link, and nobody's emailed. Nothing is deleted. To switch it back on, click Switch it on in the bar at the top of the portal, and every link works again.
Why doesn't the portal show my logo?
Until you add a logo, your clients see your team name at the top, in your colour, or in Buildscout's blue if you haven't picked one.
Why can't I change the logo from here?
On a complete project, the Edit button isn't there. Change your logo and colour in Settings → Branding instead.
Why is there no web address card?
Your own web address isn't available everywhere yet. When it isn't, the card doesn't show.
