How to use the Bin

Put the leads you've decided against in the Bin, then restore them, file them somewhere else or delete them for good.

The Bin holds the leads you've decided against, so your folders stay tidy and nothing is lost by mistake. Leads stay in the Bin until you restore them or delete them for good.

Put leads in the Bin

  1. Click Saved leads in the sidebar and open a folder.

  2. Tick the leads you're not interested in.

  3. Click Bin.

This takes the leads out of this folder only. If a lead is also in another folder or a campaign, it stays there.

To bin a lead from every folder it's in at once, find it in a Planning data search or in All leads, click the folder icon on its row and choose Move to Bin from every folder (or Move to Bin if it's only in one).

Open the Bin

Click Bin at the bottom of the Saved leads menu. The number beside it is how many leads are in it.

Each lead says which folder it came from and who binned it, and when. A folder that's since been deleted says (deleted). If the lead is still in another folder or a campaign, it says Still in All leads and where.

Put a lead back

  1. In the Bin, tick the lead.

  2. Click Restore.

Restore puts it back in the folders it came from.

File a lead in a different folder

  1. In the Bin, tick the lead.

  2. Click Move to and pick a folder, or Create folder & move.

The lead leaves the Bin and goes into that folder.

Delete leads for good

  1. In the Bin, tick the leads you'll never want back.

  2. Click Delete for good.

  3. Click Confirm.

To clear out the whole Bin in one go, click Empty Bin at the top, then Confirm.

Why is Restore greyed out?

The folders the leads came from have all been deleted, so there's nowhere to put them back. Use Move to to file them in another folder instead. If you restore a mix, the message says how many had no folder to go back to.

Why is Empty Bin greyed out?

The Bin is empty.

Why is a lead I deleted still in All leads?

It's also in another folder or one of your campaigns. Deleting it from the Bin doesn't take it out of those.

Can I get a lead back after deleting it for good?

Not from the Bin. The planning application is still in Planning data, so you can find it in a search and save it again.

Why does a search result say In the Bin?

Someone on your team binned it from every folder it was in. Saving a whole search leaves those leads in the Bin. To save one anyway, click the folder icon on its row and choose Restore to its folders, or a folder under Take out of the Bin into.

Who can use the Bin?

Anyone on your team. The Bin comes with Planning data, so your plan needs to include it.
