Every project with an address has a planning history: each planning application made at that address, and what the council decided. It's the site's back story, and a quick way to bring the council's drawings into the job.
See a site's planning history
Open the project.
Click Planning history in its menu, under Site. The number beside it is how many applications were found.
The applications are listed newest first, grouped by the year they were submitted. Each shows its decision, when it was submitted, the work proposed and its reference. If an application is one of your leads, its lead status shows too.
Find an application
Use the tabs to show All, Approved, Rejected, Undecided or Withdrawn or other.
Submitted: In the last year, In the last 5 years, In the last 10 years or Over 10 years ago.
Lead: One of your leads or Not a lead.
Search reference or proposal… to search.
Click Clear to remove the filters. Click an application to see its details.
Bring an application's drawings into the project
Find the application.
Click Import on its row.
Buildscout starts the import and tells you its documents and photos will appear in the project shortly. A minute or so later, the council's drawings are in the project's Documents and its photos in Photos. Files already imported are skipped, so importing twice does no harm.
If the project hasn't got a planning application linked yet, the first one you import becomes its linked application, shown in the project's Details.
You can also import from the project's overview: click Import from planning, search by planning reference or address, and click Import beside the application.
Why is Planning history greyed out?
Planning history is looked up by the project's address: Add the project's address to see planning history. Add the address in the Details card on the project's overview.
Why does it say No planning history found?
Buildscout couldn't find any planning applications for the project's address.
Why didn't all the council's files come in?
A project holds up to 50 documents, so an import stops at that. Anything the council wouldn't let Buildscout download isn't imported either. Files still on offer from the linked application are listed on the project's Documents and Photos pages, to import later.
Why is there no Import button?
The project is complete. Reopen it to import files.
