# How your receptionist minutes work

How many receptionist minutes your plan includes, what counts, what happens when you run out, and how to get more.

Every plan includes receptionist minutes each month. Past them, your phone keeps being answered and the extra minutes go on your next invoice, up to a limit your billing members choose.

## How many minutes your plan includes

- **Projects**: 100 minutes a month.

- **Planning data**: 200 minutes a month.

- **Homeowner outreach**: 300 minutes a month.

- **Enterprise**: 300 minutes a month for each user on the plan.

- Plans we no longer sell: 100 minutes a month.

In Australia, **Outreach** includes 300 minutes a month.

Each **Receptionist minutes** add-on adds 500 more minutes a month. Minutes start again each month, on the day your plan renews. Unused minutes don't carry over.

## What counts

Calls to your receptionist's number while it's taking calls, each rounded up to the minute. That's the calls it answers, and the calls it rings through to you first, because we pay the phone company for those too.

These don't count:

- Test calls.

- Calls that ring your fallback number because the receptionist is paused, past its limit or can't answer.

## See how many you've used

- On the receptionist's **Overview**, under **Minutes this month**.

- On the receptionist's **Settings** tab, under **Minutes**.

- On your plan's billing page, under **Receptionist minutes this month**.

Each shows the minutes used against your plan's, and when they renew.

## What happens when you run out

The receptionist keeps answering. The minutes past your allowance are extra minutes: 15p each, plus VAT, billed with your next invoice. Your billing members are told when extra minutes start, and again at the limit.

Once you reach the limit, calls ring your fallback number until your minutes renew.

In Australia, extra minutes are 30c each, plus GST.

## Change the limit on extra minutes

The limit starts at 300 extra minutes a month. Only a billing member can change it.

1. Click your initial at the top right and choose **Settings**.

2. Under **Billing**, click **Plan and payment**.

3. Find **Extra receptionist minutes past your allowance**. It's on the **Receptionist minutes** add-on, or above the add-ons.

4. Next to **Allow**, pick a limit. Pick **No extras** for none, or **No limit**.

It saves as soon as you pick it.

## Get more minutes a month

If you often go past your allowance, the **Receptionist minutes** add-on is cheaper than extra minutes: 500 more minutes a month for £50 plus VAT. In Australia it's A$100 plus GST.

1. Open **Plan and payment** as above.

2. Under **Add-ons**, step **Receptionist minutes** up.

3. Click **Review changes** in the bar, and confirm.

See _How to change your plan or add-ons_.

## Why did calls ring my phone near the end of the month?

The receptionist used its minutes and the extra minutes your billing members allow. Raise the limit, or add more minutes, and it answers again straight away.

## Why are there no extra minutes on my account?

There are none during a free trial, or while a payment is overdue. Past your allowance, calls ring your fallback number. On a trial, the limit you choose applies from when the trial ends.
