Running your campaigns day to day

What a normal day with your letter campaigns looks like: checking new leads, today's letters and replies.

Once your campaigns are running, they look for new planning applications every day and post your letters every evening. A normal day with them takes a few minutes: check the new leads, glance at today's letters, and log any replies.

Your campaigns

Click Letter campaigns in the sidebar to see every campaign you've set up. The tabs pick out the Active, Paused and Archived ones. Each card shows Letters sent, leads waiting for you (To review) and leads you've Approved.

Open a campaign and its Overview starts with what needs you, such as how many leads need review. Then its Performance: leads received, leads approved and letters sent, what happened to every lead, and what your letters have cost. Further down, your Letter sequence: how many of each letter went out, and how many people scanned the QR code. See "How to read your campaign results".

Review new leads

If a campaign checks each lead first, its new leads wait in Review leads. Each is a planning application your campaign has found, with the job, where it is and who your letters would go to. Click Send and the first letter goes out on the next sending day, or Skip lead if it's not for you. A sends and S skips, and every decision can be undone from the message that pops up. See "How to review leads before letters go out".

Check today's letters

Sending today, in the sidebar, shows everything going in the post today. Your daily budget decides how many go: letters over it are held back for a later day. You can view, cancel or force send any letter from the list. See "How to manage today's letters", "How to set your daily budget" and "How to top up letter credit".

Log replies

When someone answers your letter, open their lead, click Log a reply, say how they got in touch and what they said, and stop the letters still due. The follow-up won't go, and the lead's ready for you to quote. See "How to log a reply and stop letters".

Other things you might do

  • Pause a campaign when you're fully booked, or copy one to run somewhere new. See "How to pause, resume, copy and archive a campaign".

  • Fix one person's letter before it's posted. See "How to fix a letter before it's sent".

  • See every lead from every campaign in one place. See "How to see every lead across campaigns".

Why is my campaign not finding leads?

A paused or archived campaign doesn't find new leads, and its Overview says so. A manual campaign only has the leads you add to it. Otherwise it may simply be that no new planning applications in its area match its targeting yet. Its Overview shows All caught up when nothing is waiting for you.
