You sign in to Buildscout with your email and password, or with Google if that's how you signed up. One login works for every team you're in, from any browser.
Sign in
On the login page, type your Email and Password.
Click Login.
Or click Sign in with Google under Or continue with. You land in the team you had open last time.
Sign out
Click your initial at the top right.
Choose Logout.
Reset a forgotten password
On the login page, click Forgot password?.
Type your Email and click Submit.
Open the email we send you, called "Password reset", and click Reset password.
Type your new Password, then type it again under Confirm password.
Click Submit.
You're signed in straight away, and your new password works from now on. It needs at least 8 characters. Changing it signs you out on every other device.
Why does it say "Invalid credentials"?
The email or the password is wrong. Check for typing mistakes, or reset your password with Forgot password?.
Why does it say I signed up with Google?
Your account has no password because you signed up with Google. Click Sign in with Google, or set a password with Forgot password? if you'd rather sign in with your email. If you signed up with Apple on the Buildscout app, set a password with Forgot password? to sign in on the web.
Why does it say "Too many attempts"?
After too many wrong passwords, signing in is paused for a while. The message says how many minutes to wait. Asking for too many reset emails in a short time is paused the same way.
Why didn't the reset email arrive?
We send it within a minute or two, so check your spam folder. For safety, the screen looks the same whether or not the email has a Buildscout account, so check you typed the address you signed up with.
Why does it say the reset link has expired?
"This reset link has expired or already been used. Only the newest link we've emailed works." A reset link works once, for 12 hours, and asking for a new one stops the old ones working. Click Email me a new link and use the newest email.
Why does it say there's no Buildscout account for my Google account?
You tried Sign in with Google with a Google account that has no Buildscout account. Sign in with the email you used, or sign up to make an account.
