When someone adds you to their team on Buildscout, you get an email inviting you. Accepting it puts you in the same team as everyone else, working from the same leads and projects.
Accept the invite
Open the email, called "… invited you to join … on Buildscout", and click Accept invitation.
The page shows whose team you're joining, and the email address you'll sign in with.
Click Accept invitation.
Set up your login
If you're new to Buildscout, you're asked to finish your account straight after accepting.
Type your Full name.
Choose a Password and type it again under Confirm password. It needs at least 8 characters.
Tick I agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Click Continue.
You're in, working in the team. From now on you sign in with your email and this password.
Why does it ask me to sign in?
The email address already has a Buildscout account, so you need to sign in to it before you can accept. Click Sign in, sign in with that account, and you come back to the invite to accept it. If you're signed in as someone else, sign out first, sign in with the invited address, then open the invitation link again.
Why does it say the invitation has expired?
Invitations are valid for 7 days. Ask the person who invited you to send it again from Settings → Members: resending gives you a fresh link.
Why does it say the link isn't valid?
The invitation may have been cancelled, or replaced by a newer one. Use the newest invitation email, or ask your team admin to send you a new one.
Why does it say the invitation can't be completed right now?
The team couldn't take you on when you accepted. We don't show why, so contact the person who invited you. One common reason is that your email address already belongs to someone else's Buildscout account: an email address can only be in one company's account.
