How to add deliveries and inspections

Put deliveries and inspections on a job's schedule, so you can see when somebody needs to be there to meet them.

Deliveries and inspections sit on the Schedule beside your bookings. When one is due on a day nobody is booked on that site, the Schedule tells you, so the tiles aren't left on the drive and building control isn't met by a locked door.

Add a delivery or inspection

  1. Open the Schedule: click Projects in the sidebar, then Schedule, or open the project and click Schedule in its menu.

  2. Click Add, then Add a delivery or inspection. On the Calendar view you can also click the day itself and choose Add a delivery or inspection.

  3. Choose Delivery, Inspection or Other.

  4. Under What, say what's coming, such as the supplier or the inspector.

  5. On the Schedule for all projects, pick the Project.

  6. Under When, check the day. Click Add times if you have a time window, and Clear times to take it off again.

  7. Add a Note (optional) for whoever meets it.

  8. Click Add.

Where it shows

  • On the People view, deliveries and inspections sit on the On site row, above everyone's bookings.

  • On the Calendar view, they sit on their day.

Hover over one to see its times, project and note. Click it and choose Remove to take it off.

When nobody's there to meet it

If nobody is booked on that project on the day, the top of the Schedule says so, for example Roof tiles at Re-roof on Thu 8 Oct — nobody's booked there to meet it.

  1. Click Find someone.

  2. The booking form opens for that project and day. Choose who will meet it and click Book.

Anyone booked on the project that day counts, so someone already working there can take the delivery.

Why is the Add button greyed out?

Add stays greyed out until you've said What it is and, on the Schedule for all projects, picked a Project. With times added, both a start and an end are needed, and the end must be after the start.

Why can't I add one to this project?

A project marked complete takes nothing new, so it isn't offered in the Project list and its own Schedule has no Add. Its deliveries and inspections can still be looked at.
